leather, pearls, skin, embrace, control, surrender a 3 month self guided online course to support embodiment and pleasure

From the Darkness

On this the night after the darkest night, we (my partner in life and business Jess DeVries) want to offer you a gift, a little light.

It’s something we made from little sparks and shimmers and glimmers that we each found in the dark.

As we welcome back the light, slowly, but surely, we also want to welcome you into a slow way to engage with the work that we do. Like the very gradual return of the sun, coming into our bodies, building practices for cultivating pleasure and finding ways to share embodied pleasure with others can’t be rushed. It’s slow going and often can involve a lot of time in the dark.

We know that the economics of currency, but also time and capacity, prevent folks from doing this slow and gradual work in 1-on-1 sessions because it feels out of reach. Or you don’t feel like you deserve it.

We wanted to craft a way to share tools, activities, practices and frameworks that we have found useful in our own journeys through the long dark that you can engage with at your own pace, choosing your way through, and that led us to make Get Free!

Get Free (foundations of relational embodiment exploration) is a 3 part self guided course that can be purchased in Canadian dollars from softtouchbodies.com or in American dollars from belovedcoaching.net

Please check it out and sign up to help yourself find and cultivate the little, but determined to return, light within.

In the spirit of transparency, we want to share some of the motivations for delaying the launch of Get Free (which we had originally announced as going live this week as the calendar rolls over). The tldr; it’s not ready. We want to craft this with the utmost care and attunement with our own bodies-…

  • Map of Relationships

I made this map that illustrates both a provider and client, each with (at least) four tentacles connected by a bridge. The bridge is labelled “the boundaried container where we meet to do the work”. This imagery comes from boundaries teacher Eliah Pritchard, who explains boundaries as a bridge between individuals, where we meet (or…
